Production Group Lead Operator:
A lead production operator manages production activities, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and trains and mentors production staff:
- Production management: Develops and implements production schedules and workflows, and ensures production goals are met
- Quality control : Conducts quality control tests and audits, and ensures products meet quality standards
- Safety and compliance : Ensures compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements, and enforces company policies and procedures
- Training : Trains and mentors production staff on equipment and processes, and ensures they are knowledgeable about department policies and procedures
- Equipment maintenance : Troubleshoots and minor repairs faulty equipment, and ensures equipment is in good condition and operating properly
- Production issues : Monitors production performance, identifies areas of improvement, and takes corrective action as needed
- Work environment : Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Communication : Communicates production status and issues to supervisors, group leaders, peers, and other employees
- Inventory : Monitors inventory levels and ensures proper stock rotation
